Clutch Alignment Tool Kit

First, insert the alignment tool into the clutch plate, with both the tool and the plate outside the transmission at this point. Make sure the splines exit the plate from the side where the alignment mark is.

Next, align the mark on the flywheel and the mark on the clutch plate, and press the clutch plate into the transmission assembly.

Please install the pressure plate onto the clutch plate and begin bolting the plate. Tighten everything in a star pattern to evenly distribute the tension on the clutch plate and prevent it from deforming. Shake the clutch alignment tool vigorously to make sure everything is properly in place, then tighten the clutch plate bolts in a crisscross pattern

Finally, torque everything to specification.
First, tighten the bolts manually in a star pattern, then half-torque the bolts in a star pattern, and finally full-torque the bolts in a star pattern.

Your clutch alignment tool should remain in the clutch until you are ready to reinstall the transmission on your car. The disc clutch retainer can easily shift out of position within the transmission if it is not supported during replacement.
